The funny thing is that while most people jump on the guy for it, there were a few people bringing back the "I would rather win the NIT than only win 1 or 2 NCAA tournament games" banter that those of us who read the A-10 board remember from 2 years ago.

This is the most absurd argument. I was reminded that OSU won the NIT a couple years ago but I had completely forgotten about it and I consider myself a pretty avid follower of college basketball.

I have no beef with the NIT in general and I find some of the games entertaining, but it is irrelevant.

I agree. I could not tell you who won the NIT last year. Or the year before. Or the year before. etc.

I am actually considering buying one of those Final Four NIT shirts to wear to the next dayton game, if they ever make them. Just for laughs.

I hope they lose in the finals so they can raise another ridiculous banner in their sorry arena that says NIT Runner-up on one side and We're #67 on the other(65 NCAA Tourney teams and then #2 in NIT).

They also need to raise another banner with 43.5": Chris Wright's veritcal and Brian Gregory's height.

Dayton is only one win away from having a chance to repeat the Gamecock's feat next year.
