How they get the breaks every year is just incredible to me.

But Duke did make all the plays down the stretch to put away. You have to give em credit for almost always taking advantage of the breaks they get.

The whole game turned on that bad call. Amazing how inconsistent officiating has affected this year's tourney.

I know it won't make me too popular here, but I haven't hid my affection for Duke on this board (unless they are playing X).

My grandfather went there as a grad student and even taught there for a bit as well. Dad was thus, brought up a Dukie, and like a good father, raised me as a Duke fan.

I'm glad to see them back in the Final Four, though, I'd trade theirs for one for X.

I felt Baylor got away with a lot in the first half. Duke did in the second. But Duke hit their shots and rebounded on BOTH ends when it mattered.

I don't really like Duke, but in the sake of disclosure I was rooting for Duke for my bracket. However, I think anyone claiming Scheyer deserved a T is way off. Neither he nor the guy who tied him up deserved one, so neither got one. Acy got one because he was dumb and after the play was broken up came in a pushed two Duke players.

That charge call was awful, plain and simple.

My wife and I were watching the game, both us us rather ambivalent as to the outcome, and both thought the Duke bigs seemed to be getting mugged any time they were trying to shoot or rebound, without any fouls being called. I guess we were watching a different game. :confused:

I just hope Baylor wasn't listening to Dukie V this morning moaning why everyone always has to "hate" on Duke for their success. They go to class, never go on probation, yadda yadda.

In an almost perverse way I'd love to see West Virginia win the national title this year. Imagine all of the UC/Huggins fans bitching about Nancy if and when that comes to fruition.

Possibly. Look, if the refs are going to let guys get mugged for most of the game, call it that way until the end. Don't just decide to start calling fouls when you haven't been doing it for most of the game. And, they need to brush up on what constitutes a charge or a block.

Before we played Duke, I went to their message board expecting to read a lot of messages from snotty fans.

The opposite was true. It's probably the most respectful and knowledgeable message board I've seen.
