Elite 8 Games....Bizarre Rooting Interests For Me.

OK, so tomorrow is going to be bizarro world for me. I will find myself rooting for the following...

1) A Bob Huggins' coached team; and
2) A BCS school to crush a non BCS school.

Don't know why I don't want to see Butler win. Would root for them 99/100 in tomorrow's game. Guess I don't want them to have the satisfaction of beating Xavier and then beating the team that knocked out Xavier. Crazy, because without a dog in the fight, I will normally root for a non BCS team....not tomorrow. Don't think its bitter either...maybe it is, I don't know. At this point, I think I want to see KState v. Baylor...again, weird. I would never root for a final with two teams from the same conference...let alone the Big 12...but that's what I'm thinking. And even though Baylor beat X, its not for that reason (although it is a bonus)...I just like that Baylor team.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've always hated Huggins, but I hate Calipari and the UK fans I work with more. Go Big Bob! Cant wait to see what sweatsuit he wears!

I root for Butler everytime they play. It would be cool to see them going to a Final Four. Our game with Kansas State would mean more historically if Kansas St wins it all, And the Kansas State fans have played nice. I will be happy for them if we win.

I have a chance at winning my pool, and my final four has K-State, West Virginia and Duke. I tend to root for my pool when I can be in the money, but it will be hard not to root for Butler.

Butler could make the Final Four. Once three they would play the winner of Michigan State- Tennessee. It makes me a little bitter to think about. I think the winner of K-State / Butler will be in the National Championship game. Imagine Butler playing for the National Title.

I have a hard time with how the game at Butler played out this year. We win that game maybe we get a better seed in the tourney. At the end of the day Butler is the same as Gonzaga. For some reason everyone talks about those two progams and not Xavier when clearly we are the best of the 3 with the best tradition. GO KSU!
