Rams beat Virginia Tech at Tech. They should've been a one seed, so nice to see them win on an ACC floor. I'd say this puts a happy face ending on a disappointing season. I don't know why, but I also love to watch Greenburg lose.

I feel the same exact way. And I have no idea why I don't like him. I think I was just born to hate Greenburg.:)

Now they'll have a shot at another ACC team, albeit on a neutral floor. The way Dayton is playing right now, they should walk through Illinois and Ole Miss, setting up a possible all A-10 NIT Final. Not bad.

It's because he plays a terrible out of conference every year, misses the tournament and then whines like a bitch every year.

The announcers wanted them to throw it away more. I don't know who those guys were, but they were big 6/ Big 10 homers. Annoying as shit. I was actually rooting hard for Dayton.

Actually Jimmy Dykes is really good and really likes Xavier's team this year. He was just saying that we were seeing why UD isn't an NCAA team with how they struggle to close out games. UD tried to give that game away.

Are we going soft this week - first rooting for the Flyers to take our sUCks, mission accomplished there. Then to root for them againt the Fighting Illini. I know, all for the greater good of the conference, right? We can resume rooting for their failure in everything from Basketball to Curling in two weeks, right. :D

I tell you though, for the first 38 minutes tonight, Dayton looked scary good out there. They tried to Dayton in the end, but the chance of setting up an all A10 NIT final, considering how many BCS schools were in the NIT field this year. Abso-frickin-lutely wonderful!

Huh. I guess Dayton fans were right.

It really was the Flyers' year to make a run in the tournament.

I'm happy for them, too, as long as I don't hear any UD fans bragging about playing deeper into March than we did (if that turns out to be the case) or saying they'd rather go the NIT final four than lose in the first round of the NCAAs. Because that's BS.

First time in 64 years URI makes the NIT Final 4; too bad they've drawn North Carolina in one semifinal while UD gets Ole Miss in the other semifinal. There is an outside shot at an all-A10 final, but Carolina finally seems to remember that they're Carolina now. At least that alone might sell a few seats in NYC.

Ok.

Right now, 4 A-10 teams still playing basketball, only 2 Big Greased teams despite all of the easier roads and breaks given to them.

Both A-10 teams were forced to win on the road to get to NY in the NIT. They did.

Just sayin'.

Has there ever been more of an overrated coach than Seth Greenburg? I mean that guy has people fawning over him, people pushing him for the St. John's job and he gets 3 standing ovations from the Va Tech faithful last night. Are you kidding me? What has the guy ever done besides bitch and moan? If he was a coach at Xavier and consistently missed the tourney we would have wanted his scalp years ago. Looks like Va Tech fans may want to increase their expectations a little bit.

He's been left out of the Dance for playing weak, non-con schedules.

Sounds like a guy that should answer Mario's call for a "High Major Home and Home" series for the schedule.

Carolina has a 7-footer back that missed much of the season. Name escapes me, but the dude is good.

Ole Miss will be an interesting match for Dayton. They ran rough-shod of Kansas State in the pre-season, but they way under-performed in conference play, so it is safe to say that there is no telling which Ole Miss team will show up.

***ROTF LMAO!!!!!****

Possible shithouse rat comment and it's actually not from UD Pride.

If Chris R is the king of the Ham and Eggers,
than his bonny prince is that guy who runs the Rivals site.

His twitter had this gem today....

"#DaytonFlyers are the last Ohio team
to be playing basketball this season."
