If I recall last year in the NCAA tourney they beat us but the final score doesn't indicate how close we were. I believe it was like a 3 point game with 4 min left or so. Ta'Shia absolutely DOMINATED the paint. They had no answer for her whatsoever. From looking at their roster they seem to have virtually the same team from last year, at least from the big contributors. It just seems like when you add Amber into the mix Xavier has a very good shot of winning this game. We were absolutely horrid shooting the three ball last year too. As much as our bigs mean to our team I think we win/lose this game based on Special, Moss, and Katie. If those three are making open shots we WILL win, if not it could be a different story.

Everyone sleep in Saturday morning because you're going to be staying up LATE to watch the ladies play...

I think having Harris is going to make things a lot tougher for Gonzaga this time around.... but the guards are really the key here. Last year, Jerri and Tudy were absolutely awful, going a combined 5-30.

Also, our interior defense is going to have to be better, as Heather Bowman and Vivian Frieson are two of the better posts around. Both had big games against us last year. Frieson had a huge game against Texas A&M.

Gonzaga really does have a good team. Courtney Vandersloot is one of the best point guards in the country, and is up for several awards. She has been rather mediocre so far in this tournament though, which worries me a bit.

But yeah, it's basically the same cast of characters this year as last year, so nothing that we see from them should be a surprise.
