Washington takes down New Mexico. The PAC-10 is 3-0 so far in 2010 tourney.

Watching UW play 2x this year, I couldn't understand why they underperformed, but their speed is very tough to match. If they hit their shots, they can be dangerous, as we've seen. Personally, they look ready to advance to the elite 8. As for Cal, they are similar actually, but Duke will shut them down, IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cal takes down Duke either. The Golden Bears are a great jump shooting team, and if Randel, Christopher, and Robinson are on Duke could be the next 1 seed to go!
With that said I still have Duke winning because of it's defense, but I also had Kansas and Nova in the Final 4 so what do I know?

I hate jump shooting teams...they get so hot and so cold randomly.

I was just looking at their resume. And it really isn't bad (ken pomeroy has them at #28 in his rankings, right behind pittsburgh).
I think what really hurt them was the Pac 10's awfulness in RPI.
I'm sort of a fan of RPI, but it is true that if you play in a crappy conference, it can kill your RPI independently of how you perform on the court.

It's clear now the Pac 10 was underrated by rankings and ratings, and the blood bath during the conference schedule hardened the teams involved. Luckily they got 2 in to prove their worth.

ARIZONA & ASU were about is good as Washington (Washington only got in because they won the PAC-10 tournament) Lucky for them autobid
Cal could easily beat DUKE if they are hitting the 3

I've got to admit, maybe the RPI is just bad at ranking teams.
But RPI has undoubtedly been great for Xavier.

Uh, two teams may have been decent.
Look Arizona was lucky to beat Lipscomb and Arizona State lost to Jacksonville at home in the NIT first round.
The Tournament is all about match-ups and the Pac 10 pulled some good ones for them.

And we squeaked by Miami at home. (Although I don't disagree that Arizona was bad. I can't bash ASU because I like Sendek.)
