Marquette lost to Washington and Notre Dame lost to Old Dominion. Both are fine as far as I'm concerned, but it's interesting...
After the first day of play, the 6 seeds are 0-2 in their first game. You could look at this one way and think this trend doesn't bode well for us tomorrow, or you could look at it the other way and say the law of averages has to kick in at some point and we're in better shape now for the others having lost. Hopefully it's the latter.

SDSU leads Tennessee early, too.

Or you could just say we are the better team and will crush the Gophers beneath our might.

Think I'll revise my "pick" score to 105-104 - 4 OT's but then I would need cardiac care.

Yep. Pretty much my thoughts exactly.

I am not buying the 6 v 11 jinx. In both cases today, the 6 was probably overseeded just because of their affiliation with the Immaculate Big East(1). If you exclude the ESPN-Jay Bilas coronation of the Big East, they were both rather mediocre teams, mired in the middle of an average conference. Similarly, Minnesota has played well this year for a 48 hour stretch, and their tournament worthiness is questionable at best.
With that said, I am really bothered by Richmond's debacle. I have not decided if they lost to a quality, underseeded team, or if they just choked.

PS - Is everyone in Cincinnati aware that the CW network (my Time Warner Channel 20) has been broadcasting different games from those on CBS Channel 12?

Really? My channel 20 which is also the CW is showing MASH right now and didn't have any games listed today. I read something about this and checked today but nothing.

Why is CBS showing the Kansas game. It's the least appealing game of the night.

THey had games on it all day until the late night games.
