Wow.

That would be the NIT if the NCAA expanded to 96.

Ughhhhhhhhhhh.

MOR,

I believe that the pecking order is:

- NCAA

- NIT

- CBI

Indiana State at Saint Louis
VCU at George Washington
Green Bay at Akron
Boston University at Oregon State
Colorado State at Morehead State
Charleston at Eastern Kentucky
IUPUI at Hofstra
Duquesne at Princeton

- CIT

C-USA is the highest-ranked conference that the CIT extended bids to - that should tell you right there that no A-10 team will stoop THAT low for post-season play.

Right, Luther, but take 32 more teams from the NIT to the NCAA, then 16 from the CBI and another 16 from the CIT and you have the replacement 32 to the NIT.

My fellow Marshall grads are excited about this tournament. I have to bite my tongue because they get really upset when I bring up Xavier's success. On the plus side, MU is turning six figure profit per game in this tournament. They actually rejected a CBI invite to participate...it is also rumored they told the NIT they were not interested in a potential bid because of the financial benefit of the CIT.

The Herd won last night on a "Chris Weber" play, btw. Western Carolina called a timeout with 0.5 left on the clock. Problem is, they didn't have one. Damier Pitts calmly sunk two free throws to win the game. If you haven't seen Hassan Whiteside, you need to. If X had him we would be a near lock for the Final Four. I'm not sure how he ended up in Huntington!

Huh?

Aren't there 3 A-10 teams in this tourney?

The CBI has 3 A-10 teams (SLU, Duquesne, and GW) - I was talking about the College Insider Tournament. That's the one where C-USA is the highest ranked conference.

An improving Princeton squad drubbed the Dukes tonight. Look for Tigers to be in the NCAAs next year replacing Cornell...

The Dukes looked absolutely awful. The lack of excitement in the game could be described as being putrid. Yeah, it may only be the CBI, but it was a televised game, and ended up being their last game of the season. No heart whatsoever. They really badly need to work on their offense, because i'm not sure what in the world they were runnig the entire game. It would help if Saunders actually had a good guard who could drive and dish, but that is currently absent. Instead, Saunders basically had to do all of the work himself.
