No Beer Before 1?

Does anyone have any information on this? I was told that the Cintas will not be serving beer before 1 on Sunday at the St. Joes game.

Yes, I noticed this posted both at Ryan's and in the Cintas Center.

Apparently it is illegal to serve alcohol in the State of Ohio before 1PM on a Sunday.

Ryan's posted that they WOULD be open before the game, but no alcohol would be served. They will close at game time and reopen at 5.

Duff's (in Cintas) posted that there would be no alcohol at the pre game reception.

Cintas Center posted that there would be no alcohol sales before 1pm.

BUT, I remember going to a Bengals game on December 9, which kicked off at 1pm, and I know I was able to have beer at Paul Brown Stadium before 1pm on a Sunday. Is the law new? Is Paul Brown Stadium exempted? Did it matter that was seated in the East Club?

I started drinking before noon at Champions to watch the Umass game. Champions and XU could have different licenses that specify different serving times on Sundays, but i don't think that it is the law.

I know the REAL answer. They are not allowed to sell ALCOHOL(BOOZE/LIQUOR) before 1pm. They are allowed to sell beer before 1pm. If they choose not to sell beer before 1, that is up to them.
We will DEFINATELY be selling beer before the game at Dana's.

Even if they don't sell beer before 1 we just need to show up bright and early at Dana's and start shotgunning beers. Then we will have enough alcohol in us to make it until they sell it at the game. Thanks BJ for keeping everyone updated!

Ah memories, drinking beer at Dana's before 1. Reminds me of taking the 4 keg kegorator out of the upper floor and BJ telling us drinks were on the house for the rest of the day. We were cut off at 6. Wise move by BJ and crew.

Maybe they can negotiate some sort of waver in time for the game. I'd be surprised if they don't try. Noon games don't make them as much concession money. Can't imagine if they had to wait until 1 pm. Not to mention half the arena would miss the first part of the second half as everyone leaves to get beer at 1.

I was just thinking the same thing, if things go normally, the second half will be starting at 1. I forget, how long into the second half do they serve? I want to say its until the game clock hits 10:00?

Thats what a 20 minute window to purchase?
