How does SLU get left out? They finished 4th in the A10 ahead of URI and UD. They just beat UD in Dayton. Total screw job.
And Carolina not only gets in, but gets a home game??
I thought the NIT was supposed to be reformatted to create a fairly seeded bracket? That bracket is a joke. There's no way 16-16 UNC deserves a home NIT game.

Potential UD vs UC matchup!
Afterwards the arena will sink into the ground.

Is Stony Brook actually hosting their game against Illinois or is that a typo? All of the other home teams are in bold caps.

I guess because of a scheduling conflict with Illinois, Stony Brook will be hosting that first round game.

Sean Miller ran them straight into the freaking ground.

Wow...well, I guess those folks will be fired up for a Big 10 team rolling into town. I smell an upset. :)

Stony Brook lost to Fordham. (I know you were joking, but this fact is worth being thrown out there IMO)

Wonder how Parrom feels now that his season is over and X is a 6 seed in the tourney. Kev, Mack still wanted you...oh well maybe you'll make it if they extend the tourney to 96.

I'm not sure I have ever seen an NIT bracket with bigger names.

Actually I do remember seeing that at some point when I wondered who and the hell lost to Fordham. They had nowhere to go but up from there.

I can see the Dayton basketball video next year and Brian Gregory selling recruits:
"We played in tourney's with North Carolina, Cincinnati, Va Tech, Memphis, UCONN and Seton Hall??????? Do these names mean anything to you???? They should as these will be your post season foes!"

Supposedly their AD has been hinting they would reject a CBI offer.

Still cant believe SLU got screwed. I thought the NIT was trying to be more about merit than big names.

SLU should own that tourney. The field is very weak.

...maybe they could just let Gregory and Cronin go 1-on-1 to determine the winner.

They wouldn't have made it this year I bet.
