I just caught myself. I was about to go all day without thinking about it.
For the third straight March (maybe even the fourth, arguably), Xavier basketball fans can watch the dozens of conference tourney games in peace.
How awesome is it that we don't have to pray that there aren't conference tourney upsets? How agonizing is it to scan each scoreboard in hopes that the big dogs kept it together?
It's truly significant.
Our teams always seem to kick it into gear (in recent years) at the perfect time, and you and I are all spoiled. The "we're spoiled" thing is said very often, but it really can't be said enough. The fact that the 2009-2010 Xavier Men's Basketball Team is safely in the NCAA tournament just makes me feel great. So did the 08-09, the 07-08, and maybe even the 06-07 (we were semi-on the bubble then).
So, I say to all of you avid Xavier fans, enjoy the basketball with a low heart rate.
The Show will be making its fifth straight trip to the NCAA tournament to kick some "Big Six" ass. Let's get it going.
