I think a lot of the so-called experts had already written in SMC as an at large bid regardless of this result. Gonzaga just is not a very good team.

Some have them as an 11 playing ... X as a 6. They move the ball well and shot the lights out tonight. Agree that Gonzaga is more than a bit overrated.

Saint Mary's would have been a fringe bubble team; I'm not sure if they would have gotten in with 3 losses to Gonzaga. But as it is, that's not good news for other bubble teams with the WCC now assured of 2 bids.

After last night, Gone-zaga is down to a 37 RPI. That is equivalent to a 9 seed. Maybe even left out of the Dance? No, probably not, but...

....Other teams have been left out with much better RPI's.

Has there ever been more of a disconnect between media slobbering love and true performance? A 14 ranking in the B-Espn poll and an 18 in AP with a 37 RPI and losses to two 200 plus teams?

Just so sickening in comparison to Xavier.

I wouldn't mind a 6 or 5 for them as long as they don't get the benefit of playing in Spokane. The problem is that with the west being so weak, there is nobody to place there. They will most likely get a "home game" even though they didn't get a protected seed.

mor, i strongly suggest that you start venting now. you need to get as much of it out of your system ahead of time as possible. if gonzaga receives a #5 or #6 and is placed in spokane i fear your head may explode, especially if all that aggression remains pent up between now and sunday.
