I know there is a seperate section, but whenever an X team is going for a conference championship on national TV, I think its worth a reminder here.

First I read that as "undies"...and have the women ever had the name on their jerseys? I cant remember a time that they have, at least not in the McGuff era.

On now Siena vs. Fairfield...
there is a very real possibility Siena will be our first round opponent whether as a 6-11 or 5-12 matchup.
Some have postulated that the Committee loves to matchup Christian midmajors in the first round to get them eliminated right away.
Can't say I would have gone anyway, but I didn't realize that game was going on 10 minutes from where I work. Go X though, top 5 is pretty cool. Are they going to get a one seed?

Although I have noticed that they don't lump us always in that category - note, Georgia in the 1st round.

The 1s are going to UConn, Nebraska, Stanford, and Tennessee. A 2 is the best Xavier can hope for at this point. They're contenders for the 2 line along with OSU, Duke, West Virginia, and Notre Dame.

That was a fun game to watch, albeit a nailbiter.
Is it for sure that they're playing here at Cintas? I want to take my daughter to see the ladies play, but I'd rather see X than another team.

Absolutely they'll be playing at Cintas - Xavier is one of 16 early-round host sites and they would be playing here regardless of seed. The way the seeds go; if Xavier gets a 2 seed we'll have a 2-7-10-15 pod; if Xavier gets a 3 seed they would have a 3-6-11-14 pod.

Hopefully the Cintas attracts a good crowd for the ladies. They need a good run after last year's upset.

Not sure how the women's NCAA games will conflict with the mens, but I urge all Xavier fans to come to Cintas and support your team. This is without a doubt the most talented group on the court in a long time, in a couple of weeks we'll see how they compare to the XU group that went to the elite 8, 9 years ago.
Games are on Sunday March 21 and Tuesday March 23. Tickets available through the regular channels, I believe an all session is 29 bucks, and there are group discounts, you can also get single game tickets.

Siena's pulled some upsets the past two years. I don't think they'll be able to do it this year. They're not that strong, couldn't win any of their high profile games this year. Give them credit they were able to come back and win each game of their conference tourney (which they fell behind by double digits in all)...although their tourney in on their home court.

I was there because the arena is a part of our local Chamber of Commerce, so i got a free ticket. There was maybe 20 Xavier fans there, Temple out numbered us big time.
It was a nerve racking game there in the second half. Temple would play zone for long stretches and it really did a number on the women's shots. For reason Temple decided to go the full court press late in the first half and Xavier was able to beat it everytime and helped build that lead there for awhile.
To behonest, the women were very lucky to escape this game, and this weekend, with a win because they really didn't have their shots falling in crunch time. Still glad they won and should be a 2 seed.

Time clock usage was awful both at the end of the game and in the overtime. Big win, but, very poor finish.
