From AdamZagoria's twitter:
AdamZagoria Just learned former A-10 Commish Linda Bruno is heading the Fordham search for a men's hoops coach. Jared Grasso now the interim.

Fast forward a year...Linda Bruno, Fordham Men's Basketball Head Coach, went 0-28 (0-16) in her first year at the helm. That was 2 wins less than former coach Derek Whittenburg had last season. Her loss include:
NJIT
Bryant College
Division II of the Ohio Penial League - an all star team of University of Cincinnati Basketball players
Washington Generals (the 3 & 12,594 Washington Generals)
Their closest thing to a victory was a 1 point loss to Dayton Flyers that allowed the Flyers to make the A10 tournament as the #12 seed

Losers associate with losers.
Winners on the other hand......
The words "Linda B...." (no need to even finish the last word) on this board elicit a faster h*rdon that any of Glow's girlpix.
I can never figure out how the commish who invited us into the greatest opportunity in our basketball history gets so much hate. The only possible TV contract that was league wide available, and not coming directly out of the school's pockets, was signed under her tenure. LaSalle and Fordham look lousy in hindsight, but at the time, getting a major new york university in the A10 by all appearances seemed worth the effort. Certainly, inviting Xavier and Dayton in the mid 90s wasn't that much more of a no-brainer for an Eastern seaboard conference than Fordham and LaSalle. Unless one always gets to second guess.

I don't say it's hate, Emp, just disdain for someone who was obviously overmatched for the job.
A) There was very little vetting in the process of when the A-10 invited F-m. F-m was not required to commit to any improvements before they were just invited. Stonehenge hadn't even been "renovated" nor were there any plans at the time. The LaSuck invitation also was not well thought out. Add to that, if Blutarsky would have had her way, Boston U would have been invited to give UMess a partner and a "Boston" presence. Yep, another third rate presence like F-m that gets no pub and would be an RPI drag.
B) Horriffic media negotiations. Why do you think that the A-10 Presidents hired Bernadette McGlade? Because she had some experience with the networks and negotiating TV deals. Blutarsky just mishandled the TV deal. First she spat in the face of the cbb giant ESPN by doing a deal with a network that is barely seen anywhere. By pissing off ESPN, she lost what had been an A-10 slot night, which as I remember it, was Thursday plus losing other potential ESPN coverage. Then she didn't secure any significant number of guraranteed nights and games on CBCCS and, worse, even though CBSCS was desperate for programming, she didn't leverage the College Sports deal into any significant air time on the Big CBS network for the A-10. All of this on the heels of the Double Elite 8 year of 2004 for X and St. Joes when there should have been a real opportunity. It's taken McGlade to get a few more high profile A-10 games (X- dump) back on Espn and the A-10 Championship on CBS.
C) No backbone in dealing with the mess that became John Chaney. A strong commissioner would have immediately suspended Chaney for his remarks about intentionally fouling to injure a player when the A-10 Tournanment was in Cincinnati. It was within her purview because it was during the tournament, but she left it to Temple to act.
D) No leadership in trying to bring schools to a consensus of scheduling which killed the league rankings for a number of years. Think it is any coincidence now that the A-10 is #6 ranked despite having a number of young players while when Blutarsky was the commish, she had the league down to #10 in 2007. That is when the presidents finally acted and had enough.
There is more but the items listed are enough for now. She is just a rank incompetent and left a mess that Bernadette McGlade is doiing a pretty good job of trying to clean up.
