Interesting that we moved down from a 2 seed to a 3 seed. I actually think that is more realistic. I just hope that if we are a 3 seed than we get to stay on the east coast, because we have to be the top 3 seed. That is the bad part about playing in the A-10. West Virginia moved past us on the S-Curve just because they had he chances too.

Stay away from UConn!

I think I'd employ a hack-a-shaq defense against UConn, make them shoot 50 ft's and hope for the best.

I really think we are destined for the west region, which is fine since there's no way UConn will be moved out of the East, And Tenn has solidified themselves as a one in their region so will stay in the southeast in Memphis.
If everything stays the same through conference tourneys, we will be the odd team out, in other words the one that's seen as one too many to stay close to home. Now I think going to the midwest region with a possibility of going to kansas city would keep them closer, I don't see the travel as a big issue this year. That's one thing the ladies did very well in the early part of the season. It might be a godsend being in the lowly A-10, getting sandwiched in as a three, out west, instead of a 2 in the east or southeast, might just be a good thing. That relatively poor strength of schedule might just get us away from UConn and the Vols.
Of course, the team can't be looking beyond the first two rounds like we are,,,,, but that's how we do it.

Had my question answered today in ESPN.com's chat with Graham Hayes:
Andrew (Cincinnati)
Assuming they are put on the opposite side of the bracket as UConn, how far can Xavier go in the tournament?
Graham Hays (4:26 PM)
I don't think anyone has to be too optimistic to say Xavier has a legitimate chance to play until it hits Connecticut, whether that's in San Antonio or something like a regional final in Dayton. They got pushed by a good Dayton team on the road, which might have been the best thing for a team that could have slipped into cruise control in the A-10. They match up physically with just about anyone.

Charlie Cream tweeted that since West Virginia lost Monday that Xavier has moved back into the 2 seed.

I've got a question for anybody in the know. Is there any chance that XU could still be moved back into the midwest regional? I ask because then I would be able to see them play in KC (assuming they get there of course)

Creme's latest column (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/columns/story?columnist=creme_charlie&id=4975507), with some mentions of X under the No. 2 seeds.
A-10 Championship game is on soon on ESPN2. Tune in!

Curious that Dayton is placed in their own region. Not that they'll beat UConn, but could you imagine them making a run to the Sweet 16 and getting to play in front of their own fans?
I didn't even know they were eligible to be placed in that region, but if I were a UD fan I wouldn't want to be in the 8-9 Group of Death.

Two seed in Cintas for rounds one and two. I don't know if they use the pod system, for the women, but I would suspect Xavier would move or be moved to avoid having a one seed get knocked out early. B TW, Notre Dame proved Connecticut can be at least scared.
If there is one reason I'd like to see it's against UT. Oh, and Vanderbilt will probably be on the other side of the bracket in the first and second rounds.:D:D:D

West Virginia's win last night might make Xavier sweat a little bit in terms of getting a 2. If they upset UConn tonight, then it's either going to be Xavier or Notre Dame who gets on the 2 line. Ohio State and Duke are locks for the 2 line with wins in their respective conference tournaments.

Give me Memphis and playing Tennessee. We can win that one and I bet the girls would like to try. I bet they would even like to go to Dayton and meet up with UConn.
