I was at OU last season and the Ohio U students did the same chant/cheer when they beat William & Mary at home. They didn't do it as well as the USU students, but still a cool chant.

I loathe Utah State.

"That's better choreography than the Mormon Tabernacle Choir..." - great humor. And that is a pretty cool chant that I imagine is deafeningly loud from the floor.

Edit: From the comments section on YouTube, a fan provides the lyrics to their chant. I couldn't understand it at first, but now that I know what they're chanting, I can follow along much more clearly.

we say "is that not a scoreboard?"..."YES THAT IS A SCORE BOARD"..."is that not a 74?"..."YES THAT IS A 74!"..."is that not a 62?"..."YES THAT IS A 62".....is that not the winning team, yes that is the winning team...is that not the losing team, yes that is the losing team.

This kind of chanting is really fun. It reminds me of how the Miami hockey fans treat the opposing goalie after each Miami score.

Here's the chant from a fan's perspective (and by perspective I mean camera phone!)...

I watched Utah St. play LA Tech a week or two ago, and that has to be the toughest place to play in College Basketball. Damn, they are loud and passionate.

Not particularly intimidating from the Bobcats' fans.

Odds of a big time program going to play there during the non-conference schedule? Slim to none at best and that is a shame..

X should do a home and home. Now that we are big time we should pay respect to rising programs who the BIG 6 are afraid to play...

No thanks. Really no reason for us to play a game in Utah, against a program that wants to be like X.

I imagine BYU and Utah go there on occasion. Those guys are big-time.

That chant is pretty cool. These cheers seem to catch on pretty fast when they're good, so I wouldn't be surprised to see quite a few schools doing it in the near future.

I hope we don't though. I've always preferred originals like "Score, Jesuits, Score." I wish the student section would start that one again. My favorite X original (though rarely used) is, "slop-py jo-oe's" after the Hawks commit a turnover.

We don't owe anyone anything.

Especially a bunch of snide 28-year-old ex-missionaries and parolees setting a million illegal screens coached by a mutated gopher.

Am I the only one that doesn't like that "chant"?

Probably. Personally I think that chant was one of the coolest things I have ever seen (when Utah St. did it, no offense to Ohio U). The combination of good timing, complete participation, and how the students are right on top of you made that one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time.

Exactly the way I feel. I hate when people say we should have sympathy for programs that are where we were 15 years ago. Why? We had to play are asses off those 15 years since to get to where we are and if they want the same respect, come see me in fifteen years. We should act like the big dog we are and shouldn't feel sympathy for the weak mutts that remind us of what we used to be a long, long time ago.

Screw the Mormons.

That was an awesome chant, in high school.

The guy yelling out the questions looks very similar to our very own "firehose"

Like has been said, that was pretty much stolen from college hockey fans.

If you want to learn how to do proper cheers, watch more NCAA hockey. Those are some passionate fans. (That sequence was a knock off of "good goalie, bad goalie")

Yes they are. Both of them.
