View Full Version : Which former Xavier target would like to see on the team?

We have played twice against Braswell, once against Ari, and of course there is Parrom - the one who literally got away. Add in Noel Johnson and there is a pretty solid set of SF/PF types we looked at for this team. Personally, I am extremely pleased with landing Robinson, and I look forward to what he can do in the future.

But, for the sake of polldom - which of the former Xavier targets would you want on this team both for right now and the next three years and why?

Braswell. The kid has a big body and good knack for getting boards. I think the kid has a solid career ahead of him.

Ari Stewart would be my second choice based on how he posterized Kenny.

I get the feeling Noel Johnson is going to get left behind in this poll simply because most of us haven't seen him play.

I guess all these guys are freshman, so I should learn to read. Stewart from what I have seen (have not seen Noel Johnson).

I was thinking mainly class of '09 recruits...but yes, Howard would huge.

after last year's Butler game, I would agree with Matt Howard......However, the way he whines and bitches (especially during the XU game this year) really left me with a bad impression of him. If your thinking in the same year as him, how can you forget JuJaun Johnson and Robbie Hummel? If I remember correctly, Xavier was among the finalists for both of them.

Matt Howard would make an UNBELIEVABLE power forward on a team like Xavier, who has a legit big man.

Out of these guys I liked Ari. He seems to have a good game both attacking the rim and shooting from outside. He is a true wing we could really use. I will admit I have not seen Noel Johnson play though so he pretty much was eliminated.

I am obviously in the minority here with my Parrom vote but I think X needs a more traditional SF to spell Dante. I also think that his numbers have suffered because of his injury and the time it took him to get back into a groove.

I think Braswell would have been an awesome addition. Has the frame to develop into a bruiser, but already shows good footwork and touch at a young age. Good foul shooter too. He'd be awesome as a bookend with Frease the next several years.

I like Stewart too, but I'd be more inclined to trade Robinson/Latham for Braswell than Martin/Canty for Stewart.

I don't mean to cause any trouble, but I'll be surprised if Braswell graduates.

Duke Crews is someone I have kept an eye on. What a waste of talent.

Wasn't he diagnosed with a heart condition at one point while he played for Tennessee?

Ari, without question. He would be gettin big minutes as a freshman at Xavier. He is 6'7 and crazy athletic, a perfect small forward. He can shoot the three and attack the glass.

I'm not sure. But I know he had a head condition while there.

Finishing up your last two years of ball at Bowie state is no way to go through life. He is tearing it up out here though.
