Tomorrow 2/23, the Vols go to Gator country to play Florida. A Florida win would be a big RPI boost for X. This would be good because the Bearcats haven't done much to keep on the quality win list. So though I am no Gator fan, I hope they win tomorrow night.

That would put them in the top 50 which would be nice because all of Xavier's top 50 wins are sucking. Dayton is losing a lot while Charlotte, UC and Kent State are right outside 50.

Xavier is 7-6 though against the top 56 in the RPI.

SEC basketball is pretty brutal. Four teams at most will make the tournament for them and the four will most likely will all be from the SEC East.

Yea, it would be really good for our seeding if those teams can all get in the top 50.

Think any of the Bore-cat honks still want Andy Kennedy as their coach?

And Florida still gets a game at home against KY. And KY still has to go to Tn as well. Have KY lose at both and the boost will boost the boost, I think.

Kentucky already played Florida @Florida. Kentucky's last home game is against UF

It would have been better if Florida were going for a sweep against Tennessee - remember that Chandler Parsons hit what should have been a game-winning 3 in Knoxville, but UT managed to get their own game-winner instead.
That would have been their signature SEC win, but alas...

mea culpa
Yet, FL winning there would be an outstanding boost to their boost previously boasted about. It probably won't happen, but ....

At 51 going in, that will, most assuredly, put them in the top 50. And since the committee looks at it pretty closely, I'll take another top 50 win. Notice that Kent State, Charlotte, and UC are 54-56 and we're close to getting some more (not that UC is going to win any more games after tommorrow night).

UC is 0-10 in March under Cronin; you're absolutely right tomorrow is their last shot at a win this year.

Florida is now 47 in the RPI- and it moved Xavier up to 18.

Florida did not help themselves last night with a loss at Georgia. It's going to come down to the SEC Tournament for them.

Agree. With TN beating UK, would have been nice to see FL win last night.
