Only 19 dunks for Charlotte?

Driving home after th ebig X win in Charlotte, I was listening to the Niners broadcast to hear Bobby L's comments about our Muskies...

Anyway, they had this sponsorship promotion where there was a donation to a charity or the scholarship fund for every dunk that Charlotte had that year. The announcers were talking that after the X game, the total was 19. 19? How can a team of D1 college hoops players only have 19 game dunks after 25 games?

Sorry for the randomness, but I thought it was interesting. Anybody know X's total? I bet Jason or Jamel have that many by themselves.

For Char, I feel like Spears was their main threat down low, and he was more of a post up and fade-away type of guy. He had some incredible touch to the ball, but I don't see him going up strong to the rim very often.

I doubt Jason has that many on the year. He should throw it down more often in my opinion.

I would be interested in knowing how many we have this year...seems like a lot of work to find out.

On a side note: I remember growing up watching X when they were coached by Gillen and wondering why UC dunked all the time but X didn't. My Dad always told me that Gillen didn't like the dunk and his motto was 2 points is 2 points whether it is a finger roll or a slam. Glad that we can enjoy a good slam these days.

After losing Charlie Coley last year, dunks have been hard to come by. Tonight was a bit of a treat to watch as the Niners has several (4-5?) against Saint Joe's.

Looking at Phil Jones, you'd expect a 6'10" guy to dunk a decent amount. I could be wrong, but he had his first dunk of the season against X last weekend. To be fair, it bobbled around a bit so I'm not sure if you can really call it that.
