Go SLU! This might end up being our best RPI win by the end of the season if we beat SLU...lol to Dayton.

I want UMass to win. Put SLU out of contention.

SLU up 12 with 7:51 to go.

UMess melting down again. No fundamentals, no discipline.

St. Louis makes more passes in the first 5 seconds of theie posession than UMess makes in the whole 35 seconds.

I thought Umass was going to "run this league".

I don't want SLU coming in the game in a bad mood - but it looks like that the Bills are going to avoid losing this trap game.

Bills won by 13.

UMess sucks. Kellogg is a joke of a coach. Wasted posessions in spades. Have maybe never seen a team with worse shot selection.

Billikens continue to roll, and now they are winning on the road too. In all honesty can anyone dispute Rick Majerus for A10 coach of the year consideration? At worst he is in the top 3. With having the youngest team in the country and being in third place (1/2 game behind second and 1 1/2 out of first) in the 6th best conference I think he might be the winner. The biggest detriment is that SLU was rough early on and wont make the NCAA tourney (slim chance without a tourney championship), but he has his team playing great in A10 play.

Nobody thought SLU would go to the NCAA Tournament during the year of the Kenyon Crumble, either. I've seen stranger things happen with their team.

D-West, have to disagree with the NCAA hopes. One of the things the committee looks at is the number of winning games over the last ten games moreso than earlier in the season. Not saying they don't look at the OOC schedule. They've turned their game on in the 6th best conference and that will speak well for them. I wouldn't count them out just yet.

Well I hope they can get some consideration, considering that their improvement probably costs the A10 two bids.

Disagree Mad.

The committee is now loking at the "full body of work" now and has bascially eliminated the "last 10 or last 12" category.

I am not counting them out, especially if they beat XU, but they did not perform well in the OOC schedule and they lost to some not so good teams. Iowa State, Georgia, Missouri State (only home loss), and Bowling Green. SLU would have to win out the A10 and get to the A10 tourney finals to get an at large.

Regarding SLU...I'm not sold...they needed overtime to beat a Dayton team that is putrid on the road.

Just kidding.

SLU is going to be a bear. Charlotte was a BIG win, but they were struggling come in. SLU is playing pretty well right now. We win at Chaifetz Wednesday night, I like our chances for the four-peat. No disrespect to the Spiders, but beating the Billikens in St. Louis is going to be a more arduous task than beating Richmond in Cincinnati, in my humble opinion.

Fred Garvin gets stirred in the loins anytime anyone mentions the Kenyon Crumble. He still rates it as one of the top moments of Xavier Basketball history, even while acknowledging that we weren't even playing in the game.

As for Saint Louis, they are for real. I worry about this one more than Charlotte. That is going to be a packed house on Wednesday and they will come to play. What a great victory it will be.
