Another fine win, 13-0 in the A-10, clinched the regular season title!
75-41, and the result was never in doubt as they had a 10 point lead, 10 minutes into the game.
Harris, T=Phil, Ty Moss and Katie all in double figures. X outrebounded UMass 46-30.
Some movement possible among the top of the polls next week, as #3 Notre Dame lost to #12 Georgetown.
Realtimerpi is still listing Xavier as a #5 seed in their bracketology.

Notre Dame also lost earlier in the week too against St John's so hopefully Xavier bumps up into the top 5. That surprises me they have Xavier as a 5 seed because ESPN and Charlie Cream has them as a 2 seed. That's a big difference! I'm thinking more like a 2 or 3.

Realtime is a joke when it comes to predicting seeding. No way this team is anything but a 2 or a 3 seed.

Agreed, I just put it in because it was a new bracket for them, and the 5 is up a few slots from a week ago.
Charlie Creme and Palm have not put a new bracket out.
I know the committee puts more weight in rpi, sos end of season run than they do rankings, but I think a 3 is a no brainer as long as they win out the reg season, and at least get to the tourney final, but the rpi stands at 14 and we're not going to get any help from the balance of our opponents.
I was talking to Coach Neighbors, and he was fairly certain a 3 was in the works, though that was a few weeks ago, they might now be looking for a 2.

If you look at the potential path for the A-10 Tournament, Xavier is looking at a potential path of Richmond in the quarters, Charlotte/Duquesne in the semis, and UD/Temple in the finals. It might boost the RPI, but X has to win out to have any shot at a 2 at this point.

Right now a #14 rpi according to Jerry Palm. That would translate to a #4, and right now since the SOS is over 50, and the highest of any of the top 15 RPI. With that said, if the season ended today I've got to say we'd be a 4 or a 5. Gotta agree, win otu, including the tourney titel to get the #3 seed,

The committee does not solely look at the RPI though, if you did that for our guys we would be looking at a 5 seed at the current moment if they were to pick right now. I don't think anything like that will be happening obviously. Yet at the same time, RPI is way better than rankings. So who knows?

Now that I think about it, Xavier may be better off with the 3 seed - at this point, if they get a #2 they will assuredly be #8 on the S-Curve and draw UConn as a #1 in the region (which could also be at UD Arena - a dangerous proposition).

That's one thing Coach Neighbors and I talked about, nice to be seeded in the east, but that's certainly where UConn will be once they trounce two opponents in Storrs. The Midwest region would probably be more likely that's in Kansas City, even the SE bracket in Memphis. Just don't want to ship the Musketeers out to Sacramento.
