Solid read about the surge of the A-10 and becoming more of power conference. I like the idea, but I think we got a couple more years before that.

That's what I said. I picked it up off a link on one of the message boards on CBS Sportsline and enjoyed it. I don't think the A-10 is much of a mid major anymore. They are like hercules...they are less of a god (BCS) and more of a mortal (mid major) lol.

But I might have to check out what these people have to offer in the future, although im not much of a Duquesne fan.

Thx btw! I've been on the rivals and CBS message boards hanging out in the Xavier section for quite some time. I found this place going on the A10's website (who woulda knew).

Like what I'm reading so far though.

I found the article interesting but there are some inaccuracies and things I don't necessarily agree with. One little thing is that we didn't make 9 consecutive tourneys since we missed it in 05.

I disagree with the notion that the A10 players stay longer because they don't get scouted as much and fly under the radar. I don't buy it. If you're good enough to play at the next level the scouts will find you. Those guys work too long and hard to just look at 6 conferences and forget about the rest. The fact of the matter is that, while there is always NBA talent in the A10, there isn't typically as much as the other big conferences. Often times our good teams make up for that with experience, chemistry, etc.

It was a good read for the most part though.
