What a conundrum for UD fans. They will want UD to beat Temple to help get into the tourney, yet by doing so will help Xavier win the A10 regular season championship.

That is a tough question. I guess if it means Xavier wins the A-10 outright I would want Dayton to beat Temple. I don't know that I could actually root for Dayton during the game though.

I have the same problem. Basic logic says that I should want UD to win, but while watching the game I know I would still root for Temple.

I honest to god don't care about the other games in this league. That is a credit to the league. I used to hope against hope that the teams that could be top 100 teams would not slip against the bottom. The A-10 this year has 7 teams firmly in the top 100. X will play half of their A-10 games against top 100 teams this year.

At this point I just want X to keep winning. If they win out they will share the A-10 title. If we go 14-2 and have to share it with Temple I will take it. We shared it with UMASS our first year of this run, it doesn't bother me any.

If it came down to a last game scenario where X could win it outright I might root against Temple with a passing interest, but at this point I'm not really worried about it. I just want X to position itself as strong as possible to make a run at the 2nd weekend.

I'd be happy to spend the off season reading from our Dayton friends that they went out and did something we could not do and beat Temple at Temple.

Of course this is with the understanding that The Show is at the top of the standings for another year.

I don't know if I can root for dayton or not but I do know that the Flyers have ZERO chance of winning at Temple. None. Nada. Mark it down and set it in stone. dayton blows on the road and WILL NOT WIN at Temple. You can ban me for a month if it happens. I will sacrifice my first born if dayton goes into Philadelphia and beats the Owls. Aint gonna happen.

I can't ever root for ud. By the end of the conference schedule they'll have 6 or 7 losses, but that still doesn't get me there. I suppose rooting for Temple to lose gets the same result.

Honestly, I don't understand why everybody wouldn't choose the first option. Why would you want UD to lose so we shared the title? This might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

All this Temple/UD talk is interesting but I would like to point out that all of us need a bit of help vs Richmond as well. After all, they are temporarily in sole possession of 1st place.

Yea but we play them at home so we can control our own destiny with them, we need some help with Temple though.

From my perspective, UD is welcome to win the remainder of their games if that will propel XU to the conference regular season title. I would rather see J-Love off with four straight than enjoy the schadenfreude of the Flyers crapping out of the tournament. Obviously the ideal would be both.
