Remaining A10 Season @ 2/15

Well, as expected the results were a tad different than the statistics indicated since the 2/8 post. There were three shifts with the first two due to on court results. UD losing to SLU changed their final standings by that game going different than the indicators. Another was earlier last week Richmond winning at URI. The final shift was not on court related, yet the Sagarin for Xavier shifting stronger while Charlotte's weakened, thereby the 4 point home team advantage no longer indicating a win for Charlotte and shifting to X (I hope it's right).

Bourbonman, I think you may be correct about the UD/Temple game.

All Xavier fans on 2/24 may need to be rooting for UD to beat Temple.

Rhode Island needs to put down this Saint Louis insurgence. If it's not put down now, it could eventually effect the number of tourney bids. Besides, with Rhody giving away two at home, they need the road win to make up the lost ground.

I feel like Charlotte should be better than their record shows. When you have two big scoring threats in Green and Spears, and a decent scorer with potential in Braswell, I don't understand how you almost lose to F--m. I kind of like Lutz, but I don't know why. It seems like his team isn't always motivated, especially against bottom-dwellers. The thing that scares me about Charlotte is they will probably be ready to tear down their roof when we come to their place. And, I expect their three big-time players to be more than ready.

I know Richmond will be a present a challenge even at our place. I feel that if we put Lyons on Anderson, we have a chance to shut him down scoring wise. The problem is that Lyons won't match the playing time of Anderson, so either Jackson or Holloway will guard him most of the time, which isn't a huge downgrade in my mind. Then we will have to deal with Gonzalvez, who Jackson might gaurd, if he isn't on Anderson, which he probably won't be. The last threat is Justin Harper, who is 6-10. He averages double figures. I think any of our big 3 can hold him in check.

So those are the three big threats on both Richmond and Charlotte in our 2 toughest games left this season.

I think we will destroy SLU.

Updated for 2/17 games. URI played themselves out of the championship run and possibly out of a A10 1st round bye. Charlotte did themselves no favors. Both slipped from a tie for 3rd to a tie for 4th. Those teams along with with SLU all went against the grain.
