What were his choices at the end? That's an honest question. Who else was he considering that would actually take him? Not sure if he was considering WVA but that would have been a far better choice. Huggins is a much better coach than Cronin, and obviously the Mountaineers are far superior to the Bearcats this year.

In my heart, I love seeing them lose but I also know that if they can pull out a few more Big East wins, it makes X look better. Mick's boys don't play very smart. With the game still within their reach, they came down twice in a row and jacked up 28 foot three-pointers with no one ready to rebound. Gates not only takes possessions off during a game but blocks of minutes where he is not a factor at all. The guy is too big to not utilize his body. Vaughn has gotten worse and is no longer the stud I thought he was.

I heard the best analogy regarding Mick listening to Ken Broo on Sunday. Mick is a great recruiter, but great recruiters seldom make good coaches. It is like being in a fraternity; you have the recruitment chair and the pledge master. The recruitment chair takes you out, gets you drunk and gets your laid. But the pledge master is the guy who tells at you and treats you like dogshit. Would a fraternity pledge really listening to the whip cracking from the same guy who got him drunk and laid?

What a pathetic mess in Clifton. I work with a Syracuse alum and he asked me to go to the game. We did not have tickets in advance and walked up and got two seats 10 rows from the court for $10 a piece. Would this ever happen at X for a conference game, let alone a top 5 team in the nation?
