Watch when they go on the road to St. Louis, Duquesne, Temple and Richmond. They are about 20 points better at home than they are on the road. Let them have their one day in the sun. Reality will hit them in a few weeks.

I've said this before, if we take care of business the rest of the way (which I see no reason why we won't), survive a couple more bumps in the road (Florida, Charlotte) we will be dancing. Our schedule is too strong and our RPI is pretty high. That was our first BAD loss... Which is to say, losing by double digits to a ranked team. We're still lethal at home. And we WILL be dancing.

Dayton? They needed that win. We all know a lot of X factors that contributed to their victory... But they are by no means a lock to dance this year. Not trying to be bitter (though, I'm out of town, so I haven't even had a chance to deal with my UD grad roommates), but I just don't think they'll be in the tournament by years end.

You make it sound so easy. We will have to do more than "survive" to win at Charlotte and Florida. To go 2-0 in those games, we really need to get it together. We got toasted by a good not great team yesterday. That effort will give make us 0-2 in those games.

Having said that, we don't need to win both to make the dance, in my opinion. If we hold serve, we'll be in.

Call me the eternal optimist.

I agree that even if we don't win both those games, we'll still be dancing.

we deserved to lose saturday. however my view of dayton is the same. they now think they are an elite team because of their margin of victory. they seem to have more close games against average teams than any so called elite team. lose at a bad st. joes team and should have lose at home to the dukes. dukes player missed 2 foul shots at the end of the game that would have gave them the win in regulation. when jason and kenny got those 2 fouls each very early i knew we were done. also after playing games against fordham and at umass before the dayton game and dayton having the entire week off we were spent. it was a do or die game for ud as well. they have a vetern team that wasn't going to let us come in and win. at the end of the day we still had a better conference record and rpi then dayton so let them gloat.

After the game at Cintas UD fans were on suicide watch. Now they're the 1976 Indiana Hoosiers.

Good. I take that as a sign of respect. They measure themselves against us.

We did walk into a buzzsaw yesterday, and we were absolutely not prepared -- whether mentally or schematically or whatever. When was the last time UD beat any A-10 team by 25, let alone the top team in the conference? You have to go back a couple years. They haven't defeated a team on their schedule as badly as they throttled us yesterday. Just have to shake your head.

Absolutely. What I find hilarious is how some of their fans use the Xavier game as a benchmark for their ascention. I mean really. They beat a conference rival mid season, but are still 2 1/2 back of the first team in the conference (and still 2 games back of X, mind you). dayton just split the regular season series with X, that's all. They are 5-3 in conference. I think that speaks way more than one beat down.

They are freaking out about this one win, which they should, but they will pay for it.

They are going to hang their hat on this one win, meanwhile they still have games against Charlotte at home (which they absolutely have to win), at SLU, La Salle at home, at Duquesne, at Temple, UMass at home, at URI, and SLU at home.

With their totally inconsistent play, dayton will not finish better than 10-6. Just wait and see.

I HATE dayton.

I love that Ud found a way to piss away a 14 point half time lead and lose in 2OT to St. Louis.

Very prophetic Steve. Nicely done. Rep points for you sir.

Yes, it was quite splendid to sit atop my throne as a fan of X and laugh upon the hapless cryers bandwagon as it crashed into a bunch of birds outside St. Louis. Unfortunately for them, the midget is no Sully and their season looks as though the road will lead them straight to the NIT.

Suck it ud, you've earned it yet again.

Does that mean we'll be in the ABC or XYZ tournament? I mean, clearly they have passed us as a program.

As clear as can be when going through life with rose colored glasses covered in whatever sky garbage their mascot picks up in his single engine prop plane.

I have booked my plans for the A10 tournament, I think Chris might handle it a bit different than Sean's believed slight interest with the Sunday Championship game (right before selections are announced and on CBS I believe) and with myself in attendance in AC for the first time.
