My son is in the first grade. In class this week, the discussion was about global warming. My son raised his hand, was called on, and asked what he would like to add about global warming. My son replied, "Global warming is a myth."
I'm so proud of him.

Awesome!
My son is in kindergarten, and he would probably follow the 'save the earth' chant until he got home.

You should be proud. Hilarious.

Most teach their children that lying is wrong. But hey, to each his own.

Just so we're clear, are you/your son declaring the entire phenomonon a myth...or are you debunking the fact that humans are absolutely responsible for the increase in the earth's temp?
It's pretty hard to dispute the statistical data. There has, in fact, been global warming over the last 20 years.

Good for your son. Be sure to teach him that liberals are the devil.

The latter. I agree the earth has gotten a little bit warmer recently. The cause for this is what I dispute.

Not exacty that. Instead I explained by way of analogy. He opens up a lemonade stand and makes ten dollars. The republicans would say, "Good for you. I hope you make $20 next time and open more lemonade stands." The democrats would say, "You should have only made $5. You were charging too much. And we're going to take $5 from you and give it to the lazy kid down the street so he can start his own stand."
I think that made sense to him.

Let's not go crazy about who's lying to their kids and who is not. To many, it goes back to the principle of fairness (not to be confused with the so-called fairness doctrine-sic) where there is an expectation that different viewpoints should be taught and discussed. Not just one, where some scientists declare "the science is finished" and the masses who want to believe, preach that viewpoint as a matter of fact.
The same can be said for evolution. Dismissing what some believe just because it isn't popular doesn't help your argument any, it simply weakens it.
Here's to healthy discussions, and not following the party line. BTW-a number of scientists have changed their opinion about GW since they first were on that bandwagon. The science is NOT done, so let's all keep an open mind. Also, you can pretty much make any model come to a desired conclusion based on what criteria is used, and what is left out.

That would be awesome. Can we catch one and tame it as mascot? Can you imagine a Polar Bear growling while a guy is trying to make a free throw?

I would donate my first paycheck out of college next year to see that happen. Get it done people.

Some people have evolved further than others.

Gotcha. Yea, I tend to agree that the cause is at least disputable

I thought you were better than that. Although it was kinda humorous.
