Really enjoyed watching the game tonight. There weren't very many fans there but I'm guessing that has something to do with the other big Xavier game that was going on tonight. I just had a few observations I wanted to share:
1) Katie Rutan is a beast. She had seven 3-pointers on 7-10 shooting from behind the arc and 25 points. She was just one three point shot away from tying Amy Waugh's record of 8 threes but she missed a couple late and coach took her out with about 6 minutes left.
2) Tyeasha Moss did not play and was dressed in street clothes. It didn't seem to be an injury just from watching her so I'm not sure what's going on with that. Katie took her starting spot and did fantastic.
3) I think Amber has come a LONG way this year. I remember in the past she would get so angry if she wasn't hitting shots or something and her effort level would decrease. Today, she was missing bunnies left and right that she would normally make, but her effort never left and she had blocks, steals, and was really putting forth a good effort. That is great to see!
4) Ta'Shia was Ta'Shia!
Good game overall! Now lets go get the bonnies. They actually are pretty decent this year so we'll have our work cut out.
