So I graduated from X in May and have been fervently searching for a job since then with out any luck. So today I found a job and applied. Problem is it's with U Dump.

Am I a bad person or just desperate? I don't even know.

I feel dirty. I'm going to go take a long, long shower. :( :( :(

Just make sure you wear a Xavier tie to the interview, then it will all be fine. ;)

I'll be sure to wear that tie

Don't feel at all bad about using the enemy as a resume builder.

As long as the job isn't with the athletic dept. It doesn't seem as if those in that area really advance in thier field. :)

You do know that they give all of their new hires a mop and a bucket for when the sewage backs up, right?

I HATE dayton.

Just use the dollars you're getting from Dayton to buy Xavier tickets.

That way, you're using Dayton's money to help Xavier's program. You would be taking one for the team, going behind enemy lines, to help out out beloved X-men.

That makes you a great American, as Snipe would say.

As long as their money is green, hey what the heck.

That sounds like a grand scheme and one I most likely would put into action.

Unfortunately it is (in the athletic department)

So dayton is finally hiring someone to make a serious basketball schedule?

No wait, I can do better than that....

So dayton is finally hiring someone to reach into the top shelf for the midget?

Dammit, no there has to be better.

So dayton is replacing their official "excuse maker"?

Gaaah.

I HATE dayton.

Just think of it as working your way up the ladder. Dayton is the bottom rung. :D

Seriously though, congrats on a job offer...they are hard to come by these days.

In this economy, I'd even recommend working for Obama.

Well I defiantly feel better. Unfortunately its not an offer I only applied for the job but if they offer me I'm taking it. Getting a little tired living in my mom's house and listening to her complain about how I'm living here  oh well though.

Wasn't Dan Cloran -- the recently departed head of the AFO Club who received tremendous accolades in that role -- a UD grad?

I guess it goes both ways.

Yes, he was - but he also was a Moeller grad so all is forgiven.

XerXes I say if you get the offer take it. Gotta start somewhere.

I'm in the same boat, I would do TPS reports for Briant Gregory just for a solid job in this economy.

So no, you are not bad.

Saw on the XU/UD pre-game that the guy who runs the 'tas is a UD grad, so try to get the Urine Dump job.

And it would represent a large promotion from working in the Bush Administration!

Hey, the men's basketball team embraces half assed jobs and they are damned good at being half asses. Except for when they come to the Cincinnati to play Xavier, then they are no balls.

I say take it and try and get about 100 tickets down low for a bunch of us at all X games up there......

If someone can survive 4 years of UD education and still be an X fan, I don't think you need to worry about being tainted by working there. Many on this board have done worse.
