most telling fact on this game, a double digit lead with over 11 minutes to go in the first half. by this time XU had forced 4 turnovers and held LaSalle to just 3 baskets. Awesome!!!!

I hate to admit it, but it's hard for me to get excited about wins in the A-10 outside of Temple and Dayton. With the league ranked #9 in the RPI this is looking like a one bid league if X wins the A-10 Tournament, and 2 bids if someone else wins. I really hate the A-10 right now.

I think the biggest challenge for McGuff and the team is keeping their intensity and not playing down to the level of the competition. The mediocrity of this league is definitely not going to help us come NCAA Tournament time.

Good point QC, but you do what you can do. XU's pre conf schedule will do a lot to make the commitee happy. This team looks primed right now to make the run they need to make. If they go through the regular season and loose no more than 1 more game, it really won't matter if they win the conference tourney or not, they will see a nice low seed. They'll be 10-15 in the polls, 10-15 in rpi and have a nice fat win number in the second half of the season, all things that make for nice spots in the NCAA.

Now with that said, the home court advantage they have will only mean alot if blue and white can fill the majority of seats. I remember a tourney game there 5 or so years ago, they played UK, and the wildcat fans out numbered us.

I have my tickets already, do you???? Spread the word! It's the best deal in college sports. The last home NCAA games we had, got my daughter turned on to basketball, a passion that has not stopped yet!
