Feathers flying at Cintas, XU absolutely picked the Owls apart!
Everyone was clicking on offense, and I saw tis as one of their best defensive performances yet.
And the call that Coach K was moaning about, which led to his technical, absolutely horrible, rarely do you hear the network TV announcers both agree that it was a bad call, I think even the Temple coach would agree it was a huge hack plain and simple.
That aside, what a game, a break out for Amber, she played with that swagger I haven't seen for over a year, Tyesha, WOW a shooting clinic. T-Phil owned the paint.
And a very very good crowd, superb. This was a good win for the tourney too, Temple had a good RPI before hand.

Historically, Temple is tough for X. Nice to see the women dismantle the Owlettes.

Temple's leading scorer Lakeisha Eaddy wasn't playing. Does anyone know why? Def not taking anything away from this win but she is the point guard and floor general. Did the TV announcers mention it?

I don' recall hearing anything about anyone missing. Lookin g at the box score their guards both did extremely well with 28 points between the starters, and 7 assists against 7 turnovers. McCarthy for Temple was half the team, 11-17 shooting 5-6 from 3 and 28 points. Just shows you, a good effort on both sides of the ball can overcome darn near anything.
Granted that 10 points of that came in garbage time for Temple, after McGuff made his line change, and Temple kept their front line on the floor

She suffered a concussion during Temple's practice on Friday and didn't make the trip.
Today was impressive and a good show on ESPN2. The one ingredient that the ladies have been missing, to me, over the past few years was consistient 3 point shooting. Now it appears, that besides the inside game, we have some long range bombers too. That should open up stuff around the basket even more.
I'll credit the return...and the resulting karma.... of Amy Waugh on the bench.

They looked great while watching live at Cintas. Agree with the comment that they played with a swagger. If they play like this through the A-10 schedule, they should be a favorite going into March.
Kevin was absolutely correct in getting the T. Everyone in the place heard the slap. Interesting that the trailing official on the other side of the court T'ed him up when he was "discussing" it with the official that ran by the bench.
