OK, so what is the score in the other game tonight?

Bama will roll. McCoy is no Vince Young and Saban's had over a month to get ready for this game. Plus, my wife's from Alabama so I have to pick them.
31-10 Bama.

Texas 21 - Bama 17
No reasoning behind this...Except maybe that I don't like Saban.

Think it will be closer than most people expect. I'm gonna go 27-24 Bama, although I will be pulling for the Longhorns.
Pulling for Texas, and picking them 24-17. Hook 'em.

In the SEC Championship, I saw a team that wanted to win the National Championship.
In the Big 12 Championship, I saw a team befuddled by a legitimate defense.
Alabama by 10.

In light of McCoy getting hurt...this game is over, Tide rolls.

Lee Corso had a stroke last year and was just slurring his words during halftime. It was Dick Clark painful. This BCS "Championship Game" has been ugly.

Feel bad for Lee, but they gotta get him out of there.

Why did they not take a knee on that series - very bad form.
That shuffle pass proved fatal.

Several comments.
1) Bama tried to give UT a 14 point cushion to start the game. When Bama held them to 6, that was huge. I second guess Brown for trying to run straight at Bama on the goal line. He has no power back and has had no classic running game all year, and he thinks he can all of a sudden run over Mt. Cody and crew? Maybe Brown was distracted, as was I, by the end of the LaSalle game.
2) Is there some reason that coaches don't have their back-up QBs 100% ready to go? UF was lucky to be way up on UK when Tebow went down. They have a good back-up, but he struggled. Oklahoma didn't handle Bradford going down very well, and they have a capable back up. The kid from UT has a lot of talent, but the coaching staff was scrambling to figure out a game plan for him. I wonder how many reps he got with the starters in the MONTH PLUS they had between games.
3) Mack, conventional wisdom says for you to run out the clock at the end of the half, go lick your wounds, and come out ready to play. You open the 2nd half with the ball for goodness sakes. I guess now you know why conventional wisdom is conventional wisdom.
4) Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick... We know you don't give a crap, but why not take knees and run out the clock in the last 2 minutes. If UT uses a TO on you, feel free to run your offense, but my guess is that Brown would have let time run out at that point.
5) Bama fans down here are happy. I have already had 3 of them stick their heads in my office this morning to ask if I saw the game. I say, "Yes, I saw the game on my laptop. We went through a 20-2 meltdown in the 2nd half and still managed to pick up a W on the road."

Glow, point number 5 is hilarious. Good stuff.
Thirteen time national champions. Talk bad all you want about the coach, I am enjoying being a fan of the best team in college football.
