That two point shellacking of Fordham at home was Dayton-esque.

So did Fordham look that good, or did UMass look that bad?

I picked Fordham and caught endless grief for it from people telling me UMASS would win by 20...maybe I'm not so stupid after all.
That said, I think you can chalk up some easy Xavier wins between those two.

I didn't see the game, but ask yourself that question again real slow and see if it makes any sense. I mean they're Fordham. :)

Derek Kellogg is a terrible coach- and was hired at UMess at the recommendation of John "Slimey" Calamari.
Anytime anyone has a thought that Xavier made a coaching choice mistake, which no one should, just look to UMess. That is mistake personified.

This makes me believe that Calipari thought he was a bad assistant so then he could go on to hire Pastner to be his assistant for one year before moving onto Kentucky. Maybe Calipari has been planning all of this for years and everybody was just a puppet in his ploy! (dramatic noise)

On a side note, I also hold a degree from Marshall. After AD Bob Marcum destroyed the program at UMASS by presiding over such hirings, he took the hatchet to the once proud football tradition in Huntington. Thank your lucky stars that we have BoBo!

Doc Holliday will get things rolling down there again.
They deserve some bad karma anyway for the "We are Marshall!" movie and celebration. No one flaunts wins over Xavier like that. No one!

Ha ha, it was really odd for me watching the final game in the movie. I grew up as a Marshall fan in West Virginia but fell in love with Xavier while earning a graduate degree here. It was like fighting an internal civil war during the final scene.
Doc is already shaking things up. Next fall should be an exciting one. And don't look now, but Marshall is one spot ahead of Xavier in the current hoops RPI rankings.

Shucks, they've passed us as a program. :(;)
