Defense gashed for a big run.
I really haven't been keeping up with it.. Maualuga is out for the season, correct?

Yup. And they are sitting Benson for the game to give him some rest. Good chance we'll be playing the Jets again soon. The Jets have more to lose than the Bengals and they are playing like it.

I think it is. If they lose they don't make the playoffs.

Yeah, I know. I'm delirious from all the losses by my teams.

I poured myself a 3 oz Manhattan before the 2nd X overtime and am quickly approaching the bottom of it. Think I'll be making up a 2nd to make it through the Bengals game. So I don't really care anymore if they win. Not sure I'm going to notice.

I'm going to go pour myself something so I can lose track of how many balls our wideouts have dropped.

I think the Bengals are holding their cards close to the vest in this one. Either play Houston, who they lost to already (pretty soundly) or replay the Jets a week after not giving away the actual gameplan.
This is the first time this year I haven't seen the Bengals pound the ball in the run. Wonder why...hmmm....
Let the Jets have this one, see their full playbook, and come back next week at home. The best part is that Pittsburgh is sitting at home. Suckers.
I HATE dayton.

I'm afraid the loss of Maualuga is kinda significant.

We have seven yards of offense in the first half.

also the defense is playing pretty basic and wont show too much in the form of blitzes

Just put in the 3rd string and call it a night...actually, they should have done that from the get-go.

PS - I'm sure NBC is thrilled with their decision to change games...I doubt even the people in Cincy are even watching this pre-season game.

Because he was talking tons of shit to Darrelle Revis and had to back it up, which he failed miserably at tonight.

gotta love the jets going for it on 4th and 1 on the 17 then challenging it. If i am the bengals i'm pissed and wanna take it to them next week

Wouldn't you want to do that anyway? For all of our sake, I'm hoping that's not their motivation.

of course you want to anyway but that is adding insult to injury.

Any NFL team would do the same thing.

Nice showing by the Bengals last night. Palmer had a great stat line too. I think Bengal fan shouldn't be too confident heading into Saturday's re-match at PBS. That #1 defense of the NYJ looked pretty damn good.
Way to back up all that smack talk 85. Putz. Revis owned your ass last night.

The Bengals are not that good. They are one and done after next Saturday. I turned the game off at the half. It did remind me of the UC - Florida game, which brought a smile to my face.
This team has some issues right now and that's not a good thing when you are headed into the playoffs.

The game meant nothing...yeah I know it meant the 3 seed, but really, who cares? You could tell the Bengals didn't want to be there. Are they to the point as an organization where they can afford to lay down one week and turn it on the next...probably not...but last night was nothing but a pre-season game.
It will be a game next week. The following week means nothing in the NFL. I'm not saying that are going to win, but it will be a completely different game.
