Guess it's not just Xavier.

UC's problems go beyond a shootout hangover. If Stephenson isn't doing anything, the team just stalls and doesn't do anything. They are also poor fundamentally.

Sort of seems like The Shootout is their Superbowl.

When you don't play any meaningful games in March -- and I'm confident that will be the case again for them this season -- you bet we're THEIR Super Bowl.

Let me guess ... UC fans want to cancel that series too, now.

The calls for Sippin' Mick's head will grow louder.

According to SucKS observer, though, Xavier "missed it's window of opportunity". What....? To win 14 out of 14?

I guess "born ready" is only "born ready...if I feel like playing or don't have any money to take from somebody."

Fantastic news. let me cue up "It's the most wonderful time of the year" again on iTunes.

Recall I was just saying their fan boards were pinning their hopes on UAB, as in "Win the UAB game, and the Xavier loss will be forgotten"

sUCk IT, UC!

Whoever scheduled this game should be fired. He is an idiot to schedule a tough away game this close to the shootout.

I loved it. I watched most of the game and the entire 2nd half. Stephenson is a punk and a head case. I told my son if he doesn't shut his mouth, he will get a techincal one of these games and about a minute later he kept barking atfter a charge call (correct call btw) and he not only picked up his 4th on the charge, but fouled out on the T. Idiot.

yes I'm being childish, but knowing they were awful brings a smile to my face.

Cincinnati 47 - looks more like the temperature than the total score for 40 minutes of basketball. OK, UC Obnoxious, I get it the UAB had the basketball for half of the game. Thought I would point that out before you did.

If UC were to fire Cronin after this season, who are some viable candidates to replace him?

Uh, Beelzebob?

Certainly none of their former players. None of them even have a degree.

Van Excel is an assitant coach at some school UC played earlier this year but I don't see them going with him.

John Groce might be interested.

I liked to see them hire Brad Stevenson from Butler. He would really turn them into a clean program and that would piss off their non grad bandwagon fans.

Central Michigan's current hoops coach. Mike Thomas has their Athletic Department office on speed dial.

no we can not let this happen. We must keep Cronin around to keep our winning streak going. Let's start the petition now to protect him.
