Very surprising score to me. I do think UC will win this one, but that's not the halftime score I expected.

I HATE dayton.

Also Miami(OH) up 5 over UK in 2nd half....They were up 18 at one point. Typical Miami low scoring 30 second every possession game

Born ready looks like he was born yesterday. Nice first half effort by the cats. They are on pace to shoot 36 three's when they have a decided size advantage. Nice coaching job by Mick thus far. But I am sure UC will get going in the second half and win comfortably.

And I didn't see the other thread for Miami. Whoops.

Prarie View has some poised fast guards. They run a pretty good offense and are extremely quick with the ball. UC just was chucking up 3's until near the end.

Way for UC to represent "Our Town."

Way for UC to represent "Our Town."

Did anyone catch that commercial break on the stream where they overlapped two commercials?

The video showed all the bearcats trying to be all serious saying "Our City" while the skyline song was playing as the audio. Hilarious.

Prarie View shooting 38% from the FT line. Don't see how they'll win if that continues.

Cincinnati slowly starting to hit their shots. 61-55 with 3:01 left.
They are getting most of the rebounds. They just need to settle down and work for better shots.

69-62 UC
UC has a lot of work to do on their offense. They didn't pass too well against the zone.
Ultimately, their depth wore out the other team, which I think will be the main strength this season.

How did the PG Wright look for UC? I think that is the key for the year for them.

UC blows and so does their commercial stating "this is our city". We will see who owns the city again on 12/13.

Or March, for that matter. That loss to DePaul may be the only thing that's keeping Jerry Wainwright as their head coach this year.

C'mon now, are you telling me Prairie View wouldn't win the A-10?

(Obligatory)

I saw the game via internet out of curiousity of Stephenson...

Snipe, Wright looked pretty good in stretches and looked bad in stretches. He hit some 3's, but turned the ball over some without any pressure. 1-5 on Free throws. I think he finished with 12 points. He did rebound pretty well for a PG. 5 Rebounds

As a team, UC just lobbed up 3 pointers for nearly the entire first half. No real ball movement. No offense run. Wilks, Bishop, Vaughn, Stephenson, and Davis all just were throwing up threes and missing. They did not get the ball nor did they look to get the ball inside in the first half. They looked terrible. Minimum effort and sleepwalking.

In the 2nd half they started penetrating and using their distinct size advantage. Prarie View's coach said his team got tired and took ill-advised shots. Vaughn heated up some and led Cincy to win, but they looked real sloppy in general for about 30 minutes.

But a win is a win, and, as we all know, their fans already have their preseason final four banner up so I expect to hear some of the same tired arguments towards us that Ohio State uses against them in football
