Looking like shades of Miami's "Bomb Squad" from several years back - they're up 36-26 at Rupp Arena at the 3:30 mark. It was 36-18 at one point for Miami.

Miami will almost certainly lose, but man do they play hard on every possession. Fun to watch, no matter how mind-numbing that offense can become at times.

Wow, I'm surprised how bad these refs are in this game. A blatant goaltending call blown, a bad call on Miami, ugh. But I guess the excuse is that it's early in the season for the refs too.

Kenny Hayes just got fouled by 3/5 of UK's team on that drive and the refs swallow their whistles. To be fair Charlie didn't exactly draw up a great play.

UK misses a FT, Miami hits a bomb to tie, John Wall wins it with a leaner.

Absolutely incredible basketball game.

A heart breaker. Hayes was fouled on that last shot, but there were a few other similar drives where the refs wouldn't call on UK. Pretty clear there's a foul when the Miami player is knocked to the floor. I'm amazed at the shot John Wall made with 1 second left. It should have gone to overtime.

Charlie Coles is a great loser. He is one of the classiest losers in the game. That man is dignified in every loss and carries himself with such class. I love his moral victories every year. He is the greatest loser in the college game.

Kentucky radio host named Dick Gabriel asked Coles the following question: "How did this one get away from you?"

"I can't believe you asked that question; I really can't believe it," Coles said. "Let me see here. Kentucky Wildcats. No. 4 in the country. I'm hearing four first-round draft choices. And you're asking me how that got away from me ? Why don't you ask John why it was so close?"

"They're the Big Blue. You ought to know that," Coles continued. "I'm not mad at you. But where have you been? And where are you from, sir?"

Gabriel then told Coles he's from Lexington.

"You're from Lexington?" Coles said. "Oh, my Lord. How did it get away from me ?"

As a friend of mine said, Miami actually won the game - they just won't find out about it for 5 years or so when UK has to forfeit the season for some NCAA violation.

I'm kidding, a little. Not everyone but Xavier basketball fans as a whole whine about the refs a lot. I saw the play in question and I dont know why everyone is saying that was a blantant foul, he ran into a guy who was standing straight up.

Yea I know, I think everyone is like that to an extent. I was watching the UK game with my uncle and he was complaining about the refs all game. I think it's just something you do when you are passionate about someone losing/winning. To be honest I'm a big UK men's basketball fan. I follow Xavier Women's Basketball like a mad man but Kentucky is def my favorite mens team, although Xavier is obviously a close second. I guess that's why when I see people on here bashing UK I get upset, cause I love both teams lol..
