Dayton is down 41-46 to Creighton at the half. But the question I am wondering is, who as Xavier fans do we root for? Obviously I hate Dayton but it is nice for the league and our strength of schedule to have ranked teams.
What do you all think?

Creighton. Easily.
We have other teams on our schedule that can help our SOS and RPI.
Let Dayton burn.

I would like to be in the Top 25 asap, so I can read about X wins in the newspaper. If the Criers get beat, one less in top 25.

Dayton easily to me.
We NEED another elite team in this conference desperately. As good as our OOC schedule is our A10 schedule can be that bad if the A10 lays an egg in the OOC schedule. We need UD to do well.

I personally enjoy being the only thing people talk about. I see your point though.

I believe that the A10 will get a much bigger spotlight, and we will as well, if we have two teams that stay in the top 20 all year.

The way I see it, as long as XU wins their games we're doing the best we can.
If Dayton can win all of their games leading up to conference play, that strengthens the A10.
I'm rooting for A10.

I can't actively root for Dayton. But it does X no good if they lose. Weird dynamic. Ideally the rest of the conference would improve, and then it wouldn't matter.

I would root for a team full of puppy dog rapists before I root for dayton.
I HATE dayton.

Creighton is the only "big name" (and really not that big) team that Dayton plays in the non-conference outside of Puerto Rico, so this was good for the league. The A-10 needs their good teams to play and beat other good teams to build respect for the league. Xavier will continue to be the only team to do this since Dayton's schedule is embarrasing. Such is the life of the flagship.

Didnt realize this but Creighton was without two of their best frontline players. One is out for the first couple of weeks with a knee injury and the other had the flu and didnt make the trip.

We might see them in the Old Spice:

It looks like arguably the 4 best teams, XU, MU, Creighton, and Michigan, are all on the same side of the bracket.

Is it me (or perhaps my big homerness), but I just can't see UD being as good as all the experts predict. I will say that their non-conf schedule is wise since I really don't think they could handle our schedule. Bottom line is I really don't care what they do because our boys will be up to any challenge. I think they make the dance but they'll probably be over seeded and out in the first weekend.
Time will tell. Bring on the Falcons and let's keep this going.
