I don't know, I had a roommate who used that stuff to make himself sick at work so he could leave and come to a big party and it ended up with him retching all night at home by himself. He was laughed big time when we got home drunk off our asses.

Opps, got the time zone change wrong, I can watch the second half anyway

Hey their crew just gave Xavier props, if only to demonstrate how important Defense is to Sean.

Arizona wins it 92-76 for those who care. Then they went and played clips of Miller's Welcome to Arizona speech....

We played pretty well in the game in spurts. The officiating was really ticky tack both ways. The other team shot almost 50 free throws in one half. Our starting SG was also out with the flu and Nic Wise is just coming off an ankle injury so he looked a bit rusty. Nic said he felt about 70% in the post game press conference. At times, they looked outstanding on both ends. Our offense looks really good. Defense not so much. Sean isn't too happy with our defense right now, but he seems to be fairly patient at this time. I think that has to do with this being the first time any of these guys are running his system.

I'm not sure how much Miller ran at Xavier, but you can hear the entire staff screaming for them to push the ball. It's a major emphasis as well as not getting beat to the baseline on defense. The on the ball defense has been very good, it's the helping defense and boxing out that needs a lot of work. The freshman are all studs and have a bright future at Arizona ahead of them. Also, Miller is really helping Jamelle Horne find himself. Jamelle is a former 5* player out of San Diego that has struggled his first two seasons at Arizona. Coach Miller seems to have him on the right track. He finally looks like the player we all thought we were getting.

FWIW, Miller often mentions Xavier and speaks highly of your program. He takes great pride in what was accomplished at Xavier by everybody involved. I still can't believe you guys held opposing teams to 38% from the field and 32% from the 3pt. That's just ridiculous. We have a ton of work to do, but the talent and willingness to learn is all in place.

God please can we stop getting updates on Arizona?

Sean has all the support he needs. And more money.

Someone please close this thread before I have to respond 700 times to it.

Thanks.

Like the way Miller bribed Nic Wise to come back by giving a scholarship to his brother, a below avg. juco player.

We actually had an extra scholarship for this year and Dondre got it. Believe me, he is better than all of our other walk ons which is why he got it. FWIW, we have another player on our team that should be a walk on in Darnell Shumpert. I highly doubt either player will get a scholarship next season. We we hurting pretty bad for players there for a while and two guys were lucky enough to get a free education for a year. Darnell is getting his second free year, this is Dondre's first, he was attending a juco in Tucson named Pima Community College. It's literally like a mile from the UofA campus.

So you're saying when Sean flew down to see Nic in Houston before the NBA draft, the subject of offering a scholly to his brother Dondre, who started 17 of 30 games for a juco, never came up? The usual procedure is you walk-on a year or two, then get REWARDED if a scholly is available ala Joe Hughes. In this case, Nic and his parents got the reward with another freebie if Nic "decided" to return.

I honestly don't know for sure. I do know that our cupboards were pretty bare so it isn't exactly a normal situation. I also know that all the walk ons are new and that Dondre is better than the others. Dondre was going to a juco in Tucson called Pima CC, and it's literally like a mile from the UofA campus so Dondre didn't have to go far.

How could the cupboards be bare? Arizona is such a step up from little, old Xavier. Shouldn't the cupboards have been overflowing, regardless of the recent coaching situation?
