Yes, I'm a huge huge Xavier fan, but I follow UC and checked out this video they posted from yesterday's scrimmage. Reading all the great news about Musketeer Madness, I thought some might like to see the crosstown rival in action. I know some of you will hate that I even posted this, but deal with it.

It's obviously edited to just show the scoring but it looks like they have the outside shooting that's been lacking the past couple of years. And height, they are tall!

Apparently, the freshmen Parker and Stevenson were a big hit. Stevenson scored almost all of his team's points.

xavier drew more than 5,000 to its scrimmage Saturday. Looks like UC drew about 20 people

Heard some UC fans were worried about Stephenson sharing the ball.

Between him, Vaughn, and Gates, they may have a problem with spreading the shots around.

Mick and some of the players also seem to be down on his defense too.

I know I shouldn't have done it, but I went to that youtube link, and messed around in the comments. It's like shooting fish in a barrel, I can see chatter freaking out as he reads that.

I HATE dayton.

They are supposed to be having a bigger basketball event next week. I'm not surprised that it wasn't full. Most people there were focused on homecoming and partying before the football game. I doubt that fans even knew it was going on, as they didn't advertise it.

Nice PM. I love how the first insult they come up with is: "We'll, at least we're not mid major." Then they use the exact same arguments a mid major would to defend their football team. Hilarious

This is true about tomorrow but last week they had a decent amount of people. They had 8,000 come through the gates. Not bad. Not sure how many really stayed all that long with the football stuff going on.

UL and Pitino do the same type of thing. Pitino did it at UK like this too and got the same fan response at both places. Most fans really do not care to see a team practice or scrimmage. Unless it is UK or KU or other schools like this that have the whole state loving them with that being the main sports attraction.

You can draw well for a midnight madness event but they all suck unless ESPN is there, which I think they have stopped promoting and covering them for the most part.

UC is extremely talented this year. If LS is eligible, they are strong. With that said, team chemistry could be an issue with so many scorers wanting the ball. If they play together they are a problem, if it turns into 1 on 1 then MC might have a tough year. Give the oppostion credit, both UC and UD have some tremendous athletes and will give X all we can handle. Chemistry could be the difference between X and their rivals.

I am not going to argue about chemistry, b/c you never know but UC has players who have played 1 or 2 years together outside of Stephenson and Kilpatrick. I do not see chemistry being the problem. Points have to come from somewhere. They are very talented but not everyone on the team is a true scorer. I think experience is the key with this much talent. They are young but have played together enough.

There could be chemistry problems down in UK land with the freshman and the 3 or 4 guys who are trying to make a case to be a lottery pick next year.
