Anyone been to a game at Purdue?

I need to pick a date the week of December 7th to meet with someone in West Lafayette and noticed Purdue has a home game against Valpo on the Wednesday the 9th. I'm thinking maybe I should plan my meeting for that day so I can attend the game.

Has anyone been to a game there? Is it worth planning a trip on that day for the experience?

My family had Purdue Basketball tickets when I was little. Mackey is an older arena, but the crowds are pretty good if the team is playing well. It sounds like that might be right before finals so there will still be students on campus. It's not a bad venue. I'm not sure it'll be that memorable either.

I've been there before and I actually did not like it at all. If you are in the upper level seats make sure to bring your binoculars. Also, I don't know if this has changed since it has been several years, but they would not let you bring food/drinks back to your seats from the outer section which I think is ridiculous. (It's a fun school to party at though)
