Nice of Parrish to say nice things about XU, but then he loses all credibility when he names West Virginia as a possible Final 4 team.

What? The same West Virginia that lost to udump last year? Hmmmmmmm.

He just climbed a couple spots in my book because of the fact that he mentioned Mister Jennings and Alex Dillard. The first had a great name. The second was a blast to watch shoot. Parrish is right about Dillard's range. It was insane. Just think, in about 10-15 years he'll be doing a similar Q&A and he'll be talking about how Brad Redford could shoot from the corner of the "X" at half court.

The best thing about Dillard was that, other than his shooting, he basically had the basketball ability of me. I mean, he couldn't do ANYTHING other than shoot. But his shooting was so amazing that he played in the Final Four.

And wasn't he like 28 or something when he played? I know they had one guy on that team who went to college after military service or a minor league baseball career (something like that), but it might not have been Dillard.

How about this tidbit:

Backup guard Al Dillard played just 12 minutes a game in 1993-94 but was the team's third-leading scorer at 8.9 points a contest.
