How the mighty GW Colonials have fallen...maybe they should be cut from the conference

Dayton looks to be tough this year. Brian Gregory is doing a bang up job at UD.
It looks to be an interesting conference campaign. I am looking forward to it.

Snipe, I liked your posts better when you weren't so "vanilla." Who hid the real Snipe?

Xavier, at No. 30, was the league’s only other team listed in the preseason Top 50.
sadly they have UC ranked ahead of Xavier at 26.

Yes, but if they can't find someone to be consistent from deep, they could have the same consistency issues that plagued them the past couple years. Not everyone is going to play like Auburn did against them.

This will be the biggest issue for us this year. Fortunately, it can't possibly be worse then last year...it can only get better...how much better? Who knows.
Williams showed signs as did Perry in the last 10 games of the season. Injuries will be an issue for Williams. Luke is a very good outside shooter as long as he limits his shots (i.e. better shot selection). LW will probably attempt his usual 2 this year. RL is streaky but can hit it. C. Johnson and M. Johnson can both shoot from outside.
The D and rebounding will be there and probably be better then last. We'll win that way again this year...if the shooting is there, it'll make it that much better.

And as long as he isn't guarding Jamel. Also, it seems like Chris Wright went about 5-5 from distance in the XU/UD game in the Arena. If he wants to make it in the league, you can bet he's working on that shot.

Well, injuries (Searcy out) and foul trouble (Wright) created that unfortunate storm that was the highlight reel for JM. LF has no business guarding him.
CW shot a modest 25% from the 3 last year. Not terrible for a guy who never shot outside in HS and playing in his first full season. IF, IF, IF he ups that to around 32-35% he becomes a matchup nightmare for just about anybody in college basketball.

Is Cheeks the first player ever to be named to two preseason rookie teams?
