Brand finally lost his battle to cancer. He was 67. Not sure if this can be included in the "Celebrity Summer of Death of 09" but damn, a lot of well-known people have died since June.

Wow if that does count as celebrity deaths, that would be Swazie, Brand and Henry Gibson (comedian on laugh-in back in the 70's) and thats 3 in two days....
