Xavier checks in at #196 as they list through 600...For those that say Xavier is not a prestigious academic institution compared to the other local schools, check out Miami, Oh (# 331), OSU, (#361), UC (#538), and dayton (#567)...I am sure these must be mistakes, especially with dayton so low...

I'm actually really surprised how low UD is ranked. I was under the impression UD and X had similar academic reputations. I also noticed Temple and Duquesne way down there as well.

Well.... Wabash and Depauw are ranked ahead of Notre Dame. Purdue is not even in the top-500. Johns Hopkins in the 170s. This is a very, very strange list....

I read how they calculated the rankings. As much as I enjoy reading Forbes, I think they dropped the ball on this one. This list makes absoletly no sense to me.

I think the criteria they use to rank schools is very odd. Of course, it's designed by a prof at my alma mater...Ohio U!

Hey now, no need to be bashing on my Alma Mater the good old DPU! But for real this is the oddest list I have ever seen, don't think it holds much weight.

I just read the part that said these rankings are from the students point of view. So it's nice to see that stdents really like Xavier.

Also, I would rank this list #467 on my list of lists. Just above the best Monster Trucks of the 1980's. Slightly below the best episodes of Charles in Charge.
