Jerry Palm has X an 11 seed playing 6 seed Nebraska in the 1st round. He still has X in the last 4 teams in the tournament category.

Given the losses to bubble buddies Liberty and Kansas, Xavier is going to need to get wins over teams like Temple and Charlotte this year. They have decent wins over Georgia, Penn State, and NC State, but the loss against UC is also going to hurt.

Also, Fordham lost today, so their record is now 0-20
Our RPI is going to go WAAAAAAY down when we play them.
Charlotte, Temple, and at least 1 of 2 against Dayton are MUST wins.

I actually saw a glimpse or two of the Duquesne-Fordham game on CSTV yesterday. Sad to say, but Fordham has a good shot at being perfectly winless this year.

Here's the latest update, posted yesterday. Still a number 11 seed playing Nebraska with the winner likely to play Duke.

Here's Creme's latest from ESPN.com. #9, playing #8 Minnesota with the winner likely taking on #1 Tennessee in West Lafayette, IN. That would be interesting given the history they have with both Purdue(players) and Tennessee(Tournament).

Friends, love the optimism and agree that the ladies are tournament worthy with the NC State and Georgia wins, but it's too early. Tough three game stretch ahead. As Kenny Chesney sings "...let's start puttin' first things first...don't blink!"

Agree it's too early, lots of business to take care of. But, it's out there, so might as well toss it around.

Palms update from yesterday has XU a #10 seed playing #7 DePaul in Baton Rouge. Winner to likely take on Baylor.

Well, we're on the bubble, so I guess we can't be choosy, but yuck! I guess there are worse matchups that we could have though. At least we moved up a seed this week. The further away from the bubble we move, the more comfortable I will be. By the way, Louisville upset DePaul yesterday. UL's Angel McCoughtry had 41 points.

Saw that. Bingham added 16. At least she spreads the wealth, so to speak. She's taken it out on X over the years. As Phil Martelli referenced Stanley B yesterday, I'll be glad when she's graduated.

Charlie Creme of ESPN has Xavier as a #9 seed at the moment (vs. Iowa in Round 1 and Tennessee in Round 2 at Purdue's Mackey Arena).

I'll take it, XU 1-0 all-time against Tennessee!
