Jeremy Hollowell just received an offer from Xavier over the telephone.
Hollowell is a 6-foot-5 wing with endless potential. Extremely athletic and long can score off the bounce, the offensive glass, and can shoot it pretty well. He actually has a decent back to the basket game as well. He now has offers from Iowa, Cincinnati, and X... But expect more to follow soon.

Yes I did... point? Do you think he's lying?
He was just up at Xavier like three or four weeks ago playing in open gyms and really liked it. It was only a matter of time. Coaches have been watching his Spiece team every chance they got.

I just read his Twitter page and, well, that's a decision I wish I could have back. Thanks, Phan!

I know he is only a kid but man I don't like reading all that crap, very pretentious. It seems like he is more excited about receiving or "collecting" as many offers as possible to inflate his young ego rather than consider the school. Then again, he is a kid.

I'll 2nd this comment. But hey he's 15 or 16 and I'm... well.. much older than 15/16. :D

I enjoyed reading his Twitter posts. He obviously loves playing, and he loves winning. He leaves goals and ambitions for everyone to see, and he lets you know he is going somewhere with those goals. His excitement in receiving high major offers is subdued compared to what I would probably be saying/doing. I'd probably have it on my resume to this day!
Keep it coming Jeremy. Live it up while you can!

Here's a link to a story from the Indianapolis Star confirming that he got an offer from us (though even it is under the heading "Twitter time", so who knows).

Per Jody Demling......
Louisville C-J....
Indianapolis Lawrence Central standout Jeremy Hollowell , one of the top players in the Hoosier state in the Class of 2012, added a scholarship offer from Xavier. He had already been offered by Iowa and Cincinnati and is expecting an offer from Indiana whenever his mother visits the campus in Bloomington.

This kid must be pretty sick if he has all these offers already as a 2012 recruit.

He is pretty good. Long and can get to the basket off the dribble. Good spot up shooter. Probably the most upside of any 2012 prospect in the state of Indiana.

If he's as good as reports indicate, one can only hope that Travis Steele can work some Hoosier magic on him and bring him into the Muskie fold.

Coach Steele is definitely on it...don't worry

I heard he could be a package deal with a guard that he now plays with. Don't know if that's good or bad for us, but I would assume bad.

The guard from Lawrence Central Corley? I know Xavier isn't going to bring in a PG. Most package deals are more talk than anything. If that is true and he sticks to it, he will limit his schools tremendously mainly to low-major schools.

No, I meant a 6'3 guard. He may play aau with him. Not Corley though, that doesn't sound right.

Ron Patterson? He's a 6'3 guard that he plays with in AAU. Now, every high major would be lining up for that package deal haha

Yeah, that's the one I was thinking of.

Yeah, that's the one I was thinking of.
That would be a great package deal for whatever school got them. I haven't heard anything about a package deal. They could very well want to play with each other in college though.
It is still early though and they could always have a falling out or something.

If I could pick any 2012 player in OH-KY-IN to come to XU I think it would be him. Loads of potential and lots of versatility. I think he'd be a great fit given the classes we have in 2010 and 2011.

Hollowell was out played by Gary Harris tonight although they didn't guard each other. It just hasn't clicked for Hollowell this season. He shows flashes, but hasn't been able to produce anything consistently.

Lawrence Central's Jeremy Hollowell (2012) "basically down to Ohio State and Indiana." Added that he's also still considering Xavier. 4 minutes ago via web

Not a done deal but it looks like X is finally out of the picture. Supposedly narrowed his choices to IU, Purdue, OSU, and UC.

He is supposed to be making his decision before AAU season; not going to be a Muskie. Good Luck Jeremy.

So he prefers a 50/50 chance of getting to the tournament. Only two of those teams make it consistently.

Crean is really locking down the state of Indiana. Hopefully X can get DSR and keep some of the pipeline open.

I believe that fills up IU's 2012 class barring transfers, early departures, or de-commitments.

I'll take one of Gary Harris, D'vauntes Smith-Rivera, and Torian Graham plus a big man and call it a class.
