Calipari just signed Wall for anyone who doesnt know yet. My UK friends keep calling to brag and its getting annoying because I really don't care very much. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

I wonder how much Calipari paid him?

To be honest, I'm just happy he didn't go to Duke. This does make Kentucky absolutely loaded, with Meeks more than likely going to want to come back now to join the ride. Finally, this prolonged process is over and we don't need to hear about each visit Wall took and where he's thinking about going.

Lance Stephenson will fill that void.

I really wanted Wall to go to Miami just so UK and Duke didn't get him.

It's good to see UK drop the pretense and start signing up criminals again.

It's amazing how well Cal does when it comes to recruiting.

Was Duke even an option? Academically or otherwise?

Who cares? He'll be gone in a year anyway...either to prison or the NBA. (Some may claim those are the same, with the only difference being one group of criminals gets paid very well!)

I am going to go out on a limb and pencil in UK as my early season favorite for winning the SEC next year.

I'd go a step further and pencil them in to win the whole f'n thing. They're stacked bigger than a double stack, and I love me a double stack.

I think this theory of jumping on the bandwagon of huge recruiting classes has been tested before.

See: Ohio St. post Oden and Conley (I don't think Wall, Bledsoe, and Orton are as good, I'd compare this class more to the ones Thad brought in after)

But OSU didn't have guys like Meeks and Patterson in the fold.

This whole Kentucky/Calipari thing...I find it distasteful. It's like building a program the easy way, by throwing a shitload of money at a coach, pushing out pre-existing players, and grabbing up every 5-star guy on the market, including those who had already committed elsewhere.

It's basically no different than the Yankees buying up half a billion dollars worth of free agents every year, or Chelsea getting taken over by a Russian oligarch and plowing millions into their team. There's something about it that just seems wrong to me.

16 players w/ schollies, the NCAA limit is 13 (I believe).

Hmmm..who's not coming back? Or, do they have grey-shirts in hoops as well as in football.
