Per Cincy Enquirer.....

At 2'day's sentencing,

Judge Hedric stated,

"Cheech and Chong would have had a hard time smoking that much."

29 pounds of pot for a man that made millions. Major league idiot.

It would take awhile to smoke 29 pounds of pot. How many joints does that work out to?

Someone may need to check my math, but I'd say about 15,000 in this economy.

Even smoking 5 joints a day he had enough "personal" pot for about 8 years. That's awesome.

Well, Fred? How many?

His lawyer actually had the balls to to pretend this shipment was strictly for "medicinal" purposes. That guy should be fined by the Court for wasting the Court's time w/ this bogus defense.

It depends on how fat you roll those joints. For the sake of round numbers, if you roll a joint with 1 gram of weed, 29 pounds will translate to roughly 12,992 joints. A pound has 16 ounces, and an ounce has 28 grams.

If you smoke 2 fat joints per day (sounds like a Sublime song), which is a lot, that is still enough weed to last nearly 18 years. I am not one to question how much weed a person can injest, as I have seen some people who can smoke a lot of weed. However, even I will not buy the story his weed was for personal use.

Just seems like too much to me. Bottom line, this sucks for Corie Blount. I hate to see a guy like him to go to jail. I hate it even more it is for something like weed, which should be legalized in my opinion.

Your math is close, but it has probably been a while since you twisted up your last phatty. I am impressed you are that close with rough numbers.

Wow, the contents of each "serving" has certainly gone down over the last 40 years!

We used to call 'em "fatties."

I pose a question to Snipe. Is it worth filling our prisons up with drug felons? Also, where is the one missing pound?

As I mentioned, I adjusted for a down economy. Times are tough MOR.

That would be some bad weed...it's not like wine and gets better with age

Bob Huggins as a reference? HAHHAHA

Huggins reference letters should only contain the letters "E, F, G, H, I, K, L, N, Z"

That's like having a tax cheat running The US Tresury.

I didn't know coach was so articulate.

It still makes me giggle that a guy named 'Blount" got arrested for marijuana possession. Yes, I'm 8 years old.

Depends on the definition of "good". Stuff that dry might be strong enough for Kenyon Martin. One toke would put a normal man in a coma.

If you're Josephus, about four.

Did you see the picture of C. Blount? Dude doesn't look good. I guess I can understand why.

Speaking of not looking good, that WVU stationary/letterhead is freakin' hideous! (By the way, I'm doubting that the letter actually came from Huggins. I didn't see any puke stains on it.)

No it is not worth it. That doesn't absolve a man who made millions of dollars playing a child's game from being a complete idiot.

I am all for legalization and taxation of drugs.

And the missing pound is probably being enjoyed by Cincinnati's finest.

Blount didn't graduate high school but played at UC? Did Huggins just admit to further NCAA violations or did he forget the part where Blount got a GED?

Huggins is in no position to be a character reference but that was a well-written, heartfelt letter. Who is his ghost writer?

Why are people blaming the police for the missing pound? Assuming he started with 30 I can think of many reasons a pound would be missing, primarily that he distributed 1 lb before caught or the shipper was a friend and the pound was his commission. Can't remember if he got caught receiving the shipment or after he'd had it a while.

He got off easy, and I ain't buying that it was all for him. This is also why I oppose marijuana for medicinal purposes. Hell...who doesn't have something that wouldn't call for some pot? Give me a break.

Why are people blaming the police for the missing pound?

Blount was caught picking up an 11 pound package, and the fuzz found 2 additional packages of 11 and 7 lbs each in his house. I like the way Snipe thinks, and I also think his comments were made partly in jest. I don't think he is saying he has reason to believe there really is a missing pound of ganga and he is not neccessarily saying the cops took a pound of pot from Blount.

But urban legend has it the best partys to go to are the ones at the house of a cop. Cops have been known to "lose" things like a pound of weed, a couple cases of beer from some underage kids, or an 8 ball of blow on the way to the station or evidence room. It may not run on the news every night, but you would be naive to think it never happens.

Again, I am not saying the cops really did swipe a pound of dope from Corie, but the reply from Snipe was very appropriate in my opinion.

I just felt the need to refresh this whole thing, just to give people another opportunity to click the picture and watch a very funny scene from History of the World Pt. 1. (No, there never was a Pt. 2.)

Yes and no. There was a "preview" of Part 2 (Hitler on Ice, Jews in Space, etc.) at the very end of the movie.
