Fant gets an offer

On the same day he helped the Derek Smith All-Stars to the 16s AAU State title, Warren Central sophomore George Fant picked up a big offer.

The 6-foot-6 Fant, considered one of the top players statewide in the Class of 2011, received an offer from Oklahoma State and former University of Kentucky standout Travis Ford.

Fant had already been offered by Western Kentucky. Alabama, Butler, Wake Forest, Indiana and Xavier are among the other schools showing the most interest, while Kentucky and Louisville have been in touch.
